At the Nashville Film Institute, we hit the ground running. From the very first week, students begin learning about the film industry and preparing for their first projects. Throughout the course of the program, students work both independently and in collaboration with one another. By the time our students graduate, they will have five of their own film productions for their demo reel and numerous production credits.
At each step of the student journey, the we are intentional about preparation for successful careers after graduation. Our students work hand-in-hand with industry professionals and one another. Many of our entrepreneurial students even procure paid industry jobs while still taking classes at the NFI, making their transition into the industry seamless and immediate upon graduation.
Throughout the nine-month Cinema Production Program, each student will complete five film projects:
- Silent film
- Music video
- Short film
Student Film: Tandem
Tandem is a short film about commitment and everything in our heads that gets in it’s way. The film was directed by NFI student Kappel Cloninger, featuring NFI student Jared Hicks as director of photography. More than 10 NFI students were a part of the final film.
